After attending and participating in fashion shows throughout Dallas, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, New York and the East Coast, designers Jente Carter and Tella Kincaid found themselves asking the same question:
What was missing?
Too many runway shows felt repetitive, rows of chairs lining a runway with little connection between the clothing, the atmosphere, and the story being told. The fashion was beautiful, but the experience often lacked immersion, emotion, and imagination.
They envisioned something different.
They wanted every element of the show, the scenery, music, lighting, models, and collections, to move together as one cohesive story. A runway where audiences could fully step into the designer's world and experience the inspiration behind every piece coming down the catwalk.
And from that vision, Denim in Wonderland was born.
