About "Denim in Wonderland"

Our Vision
Denim in Wonderland is a celebration of creativity, individuality, and the transformative power of fashion. Inspired by the whimsical and surreal elements of
"Alice in Wonderland," this event reimagines the world of denim as a fantastical journey where rules are rewritten, and possibilities are endless.
It's more than a fashion show. It's an immersive experience that blends storytelling, art, and design to challenge traditional perceptions of denim and fashion. The vision is to create a space where bold streetwear meets avant-garde artistry, featuring diverse plus size models who embody confidence and inclusivity.
Denim in Wonderland invites attendees to step into a world of imagination, where every piece tells a story, and fashion becomes a tool for self-expression and empowerment.

The Birth of a Designer
In June 2017, that purpose revealed itself. Driven by her love for fashion, Jente began patching denim, hand stitching, sewing , and creating custom pieces in the corner of her bedroom on a nightstand.
It wasn’t glamorous, but it was hers. She poured every ounce of her creativity into jackets, jeans, bras, and dresses, transforming them into bold, one-of-a-kind works of art. What started as a small, personal project soon evolved into something much greater.
By November 2017, Jente showcased her creations in her very first fashion show. From that moment on, her career as a plus-size denim designer took off, propelling her to stages and platforms she never dreamed possible.
Fashion didn’t just become a career—it became her healing, her calling, and her way of reclaiming joy.
And, showing the world that
BEING PLUS SIZE DOES MATTER.
Why Denim in Wonderland?
The name "Denim in Wonderland" reflects Jente’s journey of transformation and imagination.
Inspired by the fantastical world of "Alice in Wonderland," this event represents breaking free from conventional rules and diving into a realm of creativity and self-expression.
Just like Alice, Jente found herself in a world she didn’t fully understand—a world of grief, self-doubt, and challenges. But through faith, fashion, and relentless hard work, she created her own "Wonderland" where dreams come to life, and denim is the medium for telling powerful stories.
Keep Going, Don’t Give Up!
